Little Friends is proud to announce our 2016 Artist in Resident: Janet Sutanto
Janet is an Edmonton-based abstract impressionist artist. Trained at the University of Alberta and the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Janet’s beautiful paintings are full of colourful textures and shapes. Our children will begin working with her in January. Each child will create an impressionist acrylic painting using different shapes and colours. Those works will be showcased at an art show in the preschool’s basement on April 30. Janet will also be in attendance.

Our acclaimed artist-in-residence program began in 2014 using money raised by our casino fundraiser. It is a unique initiative designed to connect our preschool with Edmonton’s vibrant arts community. Our previous artist-in-residents include Jason Blower and Amanda Schutz.
