This year Little Friends Preschool welcomes local calligrapher and designer, Justine Ma, as our artist in residence. Justine creates tons of lovely artisan goodies and has quite the following for her work. Check out her Instagram feed and her website site for more information on her work. Her daughter is also a student in the toddler room at Little Friends.
The students will be guided through a “name plaque” project which will involve the children tracing or drawing their names, which will be laser-cut into a three-dimensional shapes. The names will be decorated by the children and then mounted to solid wood boards as a treasured keepsake.
An art show to reveal all the works created will be held in early April. Dates and more details to follow!
